Overview of faults
The following table shows possible faults in the motor and instructions for remedial action.
To diagnose faults in the pump, please use the manufacturer's operating instructions.

Error

Rectification
Set the correct value.
Check that the voltage and frequency
correspond to the rating plate.
Check fuse and motor cable for damage.
Check that pump and motor shaft move freely.
Contact your power utility.
Exchange blown fuses. If they blow again, then
the electrical installations and the cable have to
be checked.
Replace defective cable.
Check reason for tripping of the motor
protecting switch and rectify. Reactivate
protective circuit.
Check water level. If the water level is OK,
check dry running protection.
Set motor to the correct operating range.
Change direction of rotation.
