8.2 Removing the dome cover
Camera focus is set in the factory. Normally, no further adjustment is required. Therefore, under normal
conditions, the dome cover should not be removed. The dome cover can only be removed after the dome has
been demounted from the mounting plate. Please follow the instructions above to demount the dome before
attempting to remove the dome cover.
Carefully remove the three rubber feet from the dome base plate by peeling them towards the outer edge of the
dome. Place them in a safe location. With the feet removed it can be seen that the design of the metal base
plate allows access to the dome cover retention clips. Use a flat-blade screwdriver or similar to carefully ease
the retention clips away from the edge of the dome base while at the same time applying firm downward
pressure. When the three clips are clear of their retaining lugs, carefully remove the dome base leaving the
dome cover sitting in its packaging. Sit the dome upside-down in its position in the packaging and immediately
refit the three rubber feet.
Do not attempt to manually move the dome mechanism. This can damage the dome and will invalidate
the warranty.
