1. Carefully remove the front rubber foot to expose the base-plate retaining screw and also remove the two rear
feet.
2. Use a Torx-screw driver T-20 to remove the M4 screw and place it in a safe place.
3. Free the base-plate by carefully applying forward pressure until it detaches from the two plastic retaining
clips.
4. Remove the base plate and place it to one side.
5. Connect either the CAT-5 fixed wiring of the installation or the supplied pigtail cable to the connector labelled
"CONTROLLER" and form it into a loop.
6. Refit the base-plate and secure it with the M4 screw.
7. Refit the front foot and install the two cable-feed feet that are included with the dome.
Now return to fitting the mounting plate, as described previously.

7 Switch settings

In the base of the dome are two switch blocks labelled SW1and SW2 which determine how the dome
functions.
Disconnect power to the dome before altering any switch settings. Switch settings are only read during dome
initialisation.

7.1.1 Protocol selection (SW1 1,2 e 3)

Switches 1, 2 & 3 select with which telemetry protocol the dome will function. The choice of telemetry protocol is
determined by the type of equipment that will be used to control the dome. Please consult the documentation of
your chosen controller to confirm compatibility. If in doubt, please contact your equipment supplier. The domes
leave the factory configured for use with the Videotec Macro protocol.

7.1.2 Dome address (SW1 4,5,6,7,8,9, e 10)

Set the dome address using switches 4 – 10 as shown in Appendix 1 entitled "Dome address switch settings".
The seven switches provide for 127 different dome addresses. The domes leave the factory configured with
dome address 1.
The address of the dome normally corresponds with the video input number on the control device. However,
with certain controllers, the port to which the dome is connected will partly determine the actual dome address.
Please consult the supplier of the telemetry controller for verification.
Ensure that dome addresses are not duplicated as this will cause unreliable system operation.
