4.3 Installation example

A single operator with several monitors controls a set of positioning device in a cascade configuration
with RS-485 telemetry line:

4.4 Cables

In the diagram given as example different types of lines have been used to show cables with different
functions:
video cable:
RG59 coaxial cable or equivalent.
cable for digital reception/transmission of controls:
2 wires for reception from the control unit (twisted pair telephone cable, section 0.22 mm² AWG 24)
2 wires for transmission, if any, to the next receiver in cascade configuration (twisted pair telephone cable,
section 0.22 mm² AWG 24)
Note: the maximum length of the connection is 1200 m in RS485.
When more than one receiver is connected in cascade, it is necessary to use two separate cables for reception
and digital transmission of the controls between receivers (do not use multiple twin cables)

5 Installation

To minimise the risk of loss or damage, it is strongly recommended that each component of the dome be
removed its packaging only when it is required for mounting in accordance with the following instructions.

5.1 Warning

When handling and installing this product, take particular care not to apply force or pressure to the camera
or pan-tilt motor mechanisms.
