TESTING STITCH OVERLOCK STITCHES
After threading is completed, use a scrap of fabric that you
plan to sew and test to sew in the following order.
1. Gently pulling all the threads to the left, lower the presser
foot. Rotate the hand wheel towards you a few times to
see if the lock stitches are properly formed.
2. Start the machine at low speed and feed in test fabric
under the presser foot by slightly pushing it forward. (This
can be done with the presser foot down on most fabrics
except bulky materials.)
Guide the fabric gently as machine automatically feeds
the material.
3. Check thread tensions by test sewing on spare fabric. (See
page 32 - 34.)
4. At fabric end, carry on running machine at low speed,
gently pulling the fabric towards the back, until about 5 to
6 cm of extra lock stitches are produced without fabric.
Cut thread by pushing thread cutter lever down, or with
scissors.
How to fix the thread end
To secure the seam, place a dot of seam sealant at the end of
the seam.
Let dry and trim the thread chain, or pull the thread chain back
through the seam using a yarn needle.

TESTER LA FORMATION DU POINT
Après avoir terminé l'enfilage, utiliser une chute du tissu à
utiliser pour tester la couture dans l'ordre suivant :
1. Tirer doucement les fils vers la gauche, abaisser le pied
presseur. Tourner le volant vers soi plusieurs fois afin de
vérifier la formation de la chaînette.
2. C o m m e n ç e r à c o u d r e l e n t e m e n t e t f a i r e g l i s s e r
l'échantillon sous le pied en le poussant légèrement
vers l'avant (ceci peut être fait avec le pied abaissé sur
la plupart des tissus, excepté les tissus particulièrement
épais).
3. Vérifier l'équilibrage des tensions sur l'échantillon du tissu
que vous allez coudre. (Voir page 32 - 34.)
4. A la fin du tissu, continuer à coudre à basse vitesse, tirer
doucement le tissu vers l'arrière jusqu'à ce que 5 à 6 cm
de points de chaînette soient réalisés sans tissu.
Couper les fils en utilisant le levier du coupe-chaînette ou
des ciseaux selon le modèle de machine.
Comment fixer le bout du fil
Pour sécuriser la couture, placer un point de scellant de
couture à la fin de la couture. Laisser sécher et couper la
chaîne de fil, ou tirer la chaîne de file à travers la couture en
utilisant une aiguille de fil.
