Compressor with adsorption dryer
(Fig. 1, Fig. 2) The air pump (1) draws in air through the inlet filter (8) and supplies compressed air
through the connecting hose into the adsorption dryer (13). From the inlet to the dryer module, the
air is first cooled in the integrated cooler (30) and then moves through the condensate separator
(37), entering the active chamber with adsorbent (32), where the air is dried. A portion of the air is
fed into the second, regenerated chamber, where this air is used to remove moisture from the
adsorbent, after which it is vented to the atmosphere. The active chamber switches on a cyclical
basis. The dry air then passes through the non-return valve (3) into the air tank (2). Air drying
efficiency (the pressure dew point) is determined by the dew point sensor (15) located in the air
tank.
9.2.
Compressor cabinet
(Fig. 4) The soundproof cabinet provides compact covering of the compressor, dampens noise
efficiently, providing sufficient exchange of cooling air. With its design It can be placed in a
dentist's office as a part of furniture. The fan (9) under the compressor pump provides cooling of
the compressor. It is in operation at the same time with the compressor motor or after switching on
the temperature switch at temperature above 40°C. After cooling the cabinet area approximately
under 32°C, the fan turns off automatically. The dryer display (25) is located on the front panel of
the cabinet.
Risk of compressor overheating.
Make sure that there are no obstacles at the cooling air inlet into the cabinet
(around the bottom part of the cabinet) and at the hot air outlet on the top back
side of the cabinet.
If the compressor is placed on a soft floor, e.g. carpet, create space between
the base and the floor or the cabinet and the floor, e.g. underlay the footings
with hard pads to ensure sufficient cooling of the compressor.
