PROBLEM
3) No disposal of defrost water (that
is, of the water obtained from melt-
ing ice during automatic or manual
defrosting cycles)
4) The compressor never stops or
remains in function for very long
periods of time
5) The light does not work
LIKELY CAUSES
a) the outlet pipe for defrost water,
which goes from the water drip to the
condensate tray, is blocked
b) the display unit has been incorrectly
levelled (i.e., unevenly) and the water
cannot flow towards the outlet hole
a) the ambient temperature is too
high
b) the air condenser is blocked
c) the evaporator is blocked by ice
d) the thermostat is set at a temperature
which is too low
e) there is a partial lack of gas
a) the light switch circuit has not been
enabled
b) the fluorescent lamp has not been
correctly inserted into the fittings
c) the lamp has reached the end of its
useful life
d) the malfunction persists

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
a) unblock the outlet pipe
b) level the display unit as described
in Section 2.4. The unit must be
perfectly level
a) if it is not possible to reduce
ambient temperature (for example,
with an air conditioning system),
the compressor must work almost
continually
b) clean the condenser as shown in
Section 4.2
c) defrost the unit as indicated in
Section 4.4
d) set the thermostat to a higher tem-
perature, as indicated in Section 3.2
e) call the Technical Assistance
Service to detect the cause of the gas
leak and only after having solved the
problem, refill the system according
to the quality and quantity of gas
shown on the plate
a) turn off the light switch
b) adjust the lamp
c) replace the lamp
d) call a specialist electrician
