8 Demolition and disposal

Demolition and disposal of the appliance is the sole responsibility and liability of the owner, who
must comply with applicable legislation on safety, respect for and protection of the environment in
the given country.
Dismantling and disposal of materials may be entrusted to third parties provided that such compa-
nies are authorised to collect and dispose of the materials in question.
Always comply with the regulations that are in force in the given country when disposing
of materials and for the disposal report, if required.
All dismantling operations for demolition must be performed after the appliance has
ceased operating and the power has been disconnected.
• remove the entire electrical apparatus;
• separate the batteries fitted in the electronic boards/cards;
• scrap the structure of the appliance through authorised companies;
Abandoning the stove in accessible areas poses serious risks for people and animals.
Owners are always liable for any damage to people and animals. At the time of demolition, the CE
marking, this manual and other documents relating to the stove must be destroyed.
The "crossed-out bin" symbol shown on the equipment label indicates that the product, at the end
of its useful life, must be collected separately from other waste.
Pursuant to Article 13 of Italian Legislative Decree No. 151 dated 25 July 2005 implementing Directive
2002/96/EC dated 23 February 2003 concerning Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment relating
to measures and procedures intended to prevent the production of waste electrical and electronic
equipment (WEEE) by promoting reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery in order to reduce the
quantities sent for disposal and improving intervention by subjects involved in the life cycle of these
products.
