49. Never place the tea leaves directly in the glass jug, always put
them into the tea strainer.
50. The lid has to be closed during heating and while the tea is
steeping. Do not place anything on the lid. Never cover the
appliance during use, the space above the appliance has to
remain unobstructed at all times.
51. Before moving or cleaning the appliance, always switch it off
with the START/STOP button (press and hold button for 2 sec-
onds). Then, pull the power plug from the socket and wait for
the appliance to cool down completely. Please pull the plug if
the appliance is not in use.
52. Pull the plug after every use. Only then is the appliance defi-
nitely switched off.
53. Keep the appliance clean. Always switch the appliance off,
pull the power plug and let the appliance cool down com-
pletely before cleaning and storing it. Please refer to the
"Cleaning and maintenance" section on page 114 of this
manual.
54. Only use mild detergent and a soft towel for cleaning.
Aggressive detergents and solvents or abrasive materials
could damage the surface.
55. Before first use, remove all packaging materials and stickers
resp. labels, clean the inside of the jug and rinse the lid. Please
refer to the section "Before first use" on page 105 of this
manual.
