23. Optical interface / read out

All meters have an optical data interface. The
MiniCom 3 service software enables settings
to be changed or data read via a read-out
system (e.g. AMBILL
KOM Mobil) using an optical reading head
(e.g. Art. No. 80153). The data interface is
activated by a short key press and remains
activated for an hour after the last read-out.
This means that data can be read over a
longer period of time every quarter of an hour
or every hour.

24. Options

24.1.M-Bus option acc. to EN 1434-3

This option enables the meter to be read over
its primary or secondary address using an M-
Bus voltage converter
(300 and 2400 baud, automatic recognition).
The settings of both addresses can be carried
out in the parameter level (see Sect. 7.7) or
with the MiniCom 3 service software. The
primary address can be set to any number
between 0 and 250.

The two-wire optional cable is connected to
the M-Bus installation at an appropriate point.

24.2.Mini-Bus option

This option enables the meter to be connected
to an inductive remote (MiniPad) reading unit
(max. cable length 50 m).

24.3.Remote meter option

This option enables the energy pulses of the
meter to be transmitted to a pulse collector or
to the input of a building management system.

24.4. M-Bus / Mini-Bus option with two
pulse inputs
The M-Bus or Mini-Bus option has two pulse
inputs for external meters (usually cold or hot
water) with remote pulsers (reed switch or
open collector).
The option has two types of connecting ca-
bles:
1. One two-wire cable:

Other settings can be carried out using the
service software.

24.5. Data logger option

The data logger saves the consumption data
and instantaneous values (power, flow rate,
temperatures) in a time period that can be set
between 1 and 1440 min using the service
software (set at 60 min. in factory).
The logger data can be read with the optical
interface using the MiniCom service software.
