13. Safety instructions

Warning!
Hot water may still be present in
the piping and can result in
scalding.
When removing meters, bolts or
sensors, ensure that the water
temperature cannot cause in-
jury!
Warning!
The connecting thread may
have burred or sharp edges.
Use protective gloves!
Warning!
The instrument contains a lith-
ium battery
• Do not try to open the bat-
tery!
• Do not bring the battery in
contact with water!
• Do not short-circuit the bat-
tery!
• Do not subject the battery to
temperatures above 80 °C!
• Empty batteries and used
instruments are special re-
fuse and must be disposed of
at suitable collecting points.

14. General notes

Instruments are to be protected from me-
chanical damage and heat (they may only be
stored in their packing)!
• Ensure that no foreign objects get into the
pipe!
• Instruments are only to be cleaned using a
moist cloth lightly dampened with water. Do
not use cleaning liquids!
• Do not hold the instrument by its cable!
Current standards:
• EN 1434 parts 1, 3 and 6
• VDE 0100.

17. Mounting the meter

AMTRON
E-30 can be used as a heat or
cooling meter and the following terms are
therefore used:
Heating plants
Cold side
Return flow
Hot side
Forward flow
The standard version has been calibrated to
be mounted on the cold side.
Versions ...ws/c are available for mounting on
the hot side and for cooling plants. These
have a removable totalizer so that they can be
mounted on the wall, if required, using the
adapter supplied.
Note!
Water may condense in meters
in cooling plants and affect the
function of the meter.
When using the AMTRON
...ws/c, mount the totalizer where
no condensation can occur
