The switching temperature between heating
and cooling applications is shown in level L5
(Sect. 7.6) and can be adjusted using the
service software.
The totalizer of the AMTRON
turned through 330 degrees in relation to the
flow sensor.
Note!
Forcing the totalizer past this
stop will result in damage to the
instrument and invalidate the
guarantee.
Do not turn the totalizer past its
physical limits!
The flow sensor and both temperature sen-
sors must be mounted in the same loop of the
heating or cooling plant
An arrow on the housing of the flow sensor
indicates the direction of flow of the me-
dium. Straight inlet and outlet paths are not
required.
Note!
Dirt and foreign bodies in the
piping can damage the meter or
affect its operation!
• The piping must be thoroughly
flushed before installing the
meter.
Remove the spacer or the old
meter and mount the AM-
TRON
• Install a strainer in the piping
upstream of the flow sensor.
• Mount a valve both upstream
and downstream of the flow
sensor so that the meter can be
dismantled without draining the
piping.

• Horizontal piping: the display is to be read
from above or from the side. It can be

18. Mounting the temperature sensors
The standard length of the separate sensor
cable is approx. 1.5 m (other lengths 5 m and
10 m on request). The cable should be laid in
a cable duct or empty pipe. To ensure the
most accurate temperature measurement
possible, the tip of the temperature sensor
strainer
