At the end of the loosening-up phase:
Press the door opening button and
u remove the laundry.
Remove any foreign bodies (such as paper clips) from
the drum)

Switching off the appliance

Close the water taps.
Switch off the main switch (on the building side).

Additional functions

In addition to the various standard washing program-
mes, your washing machine offers you the facility to
design your own programmes.
By selecting one or more additional functions, you can
tailor your washing programme exactly to the particular
requirements of your laundry.
u You also have the facility to adapt your washing machi-
ne to your individual needs by amending the default set-
tings. (See pages 59 and 60).

Express programme

Express programme for lightly soiled textiles.
Brings about a reduction in the washing time and a
reduction from 3 to 2 rinses.
With smaller quantities of laundry or low degree of soi-
ling, reduce the quantity of detergent.

Gentle programme

For easy-care and particularly delicate textiles made
from cotton, mixed fibres, synthetics, silk.

Pre-wash

For exceptionally soiled laundry, for stains or workwear.
The wash temperature is 30 °C.
Place 1 / of the detergent in chamber A.

Note:the wool programme does not include a pre-wash
in order to protect the fibre.

Intensive

This programme is for heavily soiled textiles especially
with bleachable stains (e.g. fruit, coffee, tea, red wine).
The Intensive programme can be added for boil wash
and coloureds, as well as for easy-care fabrics.The
water level is increased and the washing time extended.
Note
The Intensive programme, Express programme and
Prewash are mutually exclusive. Therefore only one of
these additional functions can be selected.

Pre-set starting time

The programme start can be delayed by up to 20 hours
by pressing the pre-set starting time button once or
more.
This enables the low-rate night-time electricity tariff to
be used for example. The start and thus the and of a
programme can be altered to suit working procedures.
The digital display shows the set time or the remaining
time to the programme start and the current time by a
flashing dot.
Once the start button has been activated, the program-
me runs trough automatically.
At the end of the pre-set starting time, the selected pro-
gramme starts up. The actual programme duration is
displayed.
Note
In the event of a power cut, the current time is stored
in memory. The duration of the power cut is ignored.
Changing the pre-set starting time
The pre-set starting time can be amended at any time by
repeated operation of the pre-set starting time button.
Adding washing to the load
Washing can be added to the load up to the pre-set
starting time.
u Press the door-opening button.
u Close the door
u Press the start button.
With child safety guard activated:
u Press the Quick Wash button at the same time.

Washing temperature

The pre-programmed washing temperature is displayed
by operating this button once.
The washing temperature can be reduced in 10°C steps
(over 80°C by 15°C) by lightly pressing the button
repeatedly. The new temperature is displayed. It can
also be changed during the current programme. The
reduction in temperature is compensated for by an
increase in the washing time, allowing comparable was-
hing results to be achieved with a saving of up to 40% in
energy.
