Introduction
Hotgas regulation
Subcooling regulation
General functions
AKC 114G
Together with valves and sensors the controller constitutes a complete evaporator control
where defrost takes place with hotgas.
The controller can also be used for regulation of the subcooling in the liquid line. The two
functions cannot be combined.
The controller is equipped with DANBUSS data communication and is operated by means of
control panel type AKA 21 and/or a PC.
The controller can only be used in central installations.
The liquid supply is controlled by signals from temperature sensors and a pressure transmitter
The temperature in the evaporator section is controlled by a thermostat function which can be
defined in various ways, depending on application.
Defrost is accomplished according to a fixed sequence where the controller opens and closes
for the gas valves.
The function is described on page 4 and on.
Here the controller is used for controlling the subcooling in the liquid line.
This control is primarily used in installations where the condensing pressure varies with the
ambient temperature. The control must provide subcooled liquid for the expansion valves.
The cooling is primarily controlled on the basis of signals from three temperature sensors and
two pressure transmitters. The temperature in the subcooler is controlled in such a way that
flashgas will not be created in the liquid line. The function is described on page 15 and on.
The controller has a number of common functions which are used for the two regulations.
These functions are described on page 17 and on.
