12. Troubleshooting
By purchasing the 2-channel SDHC digital recorder, you have acquired a product designed
to the state of the art and operationally reliable. Nevertheless, problems or errors may
occur. Therefore, observe the following information about troubleshooting.
The image from the connected cameras is not displayed
• Check that the camera is correctly connected to the digital recorder via the enclosed
connection cable.
• Check if the western plug of the connection cable is correctly latched in the respective
socket of the digital recorder.
• Switch on the digital recorder (the blue LED on the front must light up).
Motion detection is not working correctly
• Use a different sensitivity setting.
• Set an image section that is monitored for motion detection.
• Align the camera differently.
• The motion detection is based on the quantity of changing image parts in the monitoring
area. If, e.g., leaves of a tree or bush are moving, this is recognised as movement and
the recording is started.
Quickly changing brightness situations (sun/clouds) may be recognised as motion and
the recording may be started.
SD/SDHC memory card is not recognised
• The digital recorder can only be operated with SD memory cards up to 2GByte or SDHC
memory cards up to 32GByte. Use of SDXC memory cards is not possible.
• Format the SD/SDHC memory card with the respective function of the digital recor-
der.
