10. Basic Functions

a) Switching On/Off
Switch the digital recorder on or off, with the slider (5) at the rear of the digital recorder
(„ON" = activated, „OFF" = deactivated).
When deactivated, the operating voltage for the cameras (AV inputs 1 and 2) is deac-
tivated as well.
Note:
The button „
standby mode.
While a recording is running, the digital recorder cannot be switched off with
this button for reasons of safety.
The LED (8) has the following functions:
• LED is lit red permanently: Standby mode
• LED is permanently lit blue: Digital recorder on and operational
• LED flashes red: Recording runs
• LED flashes blue: Playback runs
b) Calling/Leaving OSD Menu
Briefly push the button „MENU/ESC" on the digital recorder or the button „MENU" on
the IR remote control. Then the main menu is displayed on the screen connected to the
AV output of the digital recorder.
To leave the OSD menu, also briefly push the button „MENU/ESC" on the digital recorder
or the button „MENU" or „ESC" on the IR remote control (several times if required, if the
digital recorder is in a submenu).
