Recoding with motion detection
In the function „Recording Mode" (see chapter 11 d), the setting „Motion Detect" must
be chosen.
This operating mode only permits recording of videos, but no photographs.
The connected screen shows the message „Press Rec to Start Motion Detect"; push
the button „REC/STOP" on the digital recorder or the IR remote control to start motion
detection. Then „Motion Detecting.." appears. The digital recorder is now waiting for
motion detection in the surveillance area of the connected cameras.
If a movement in the monitoring area is recognised depending on the sensitivity set,
the recording will start automatically; a red dot and the display „REC" is shown at the
upper left of the screen.
During motion detection, some operating functions are not possible. For example,
the OSD menu cannot be called.
Only one recording at a time is possible. If a motion in the surveillance area is
recognised on both cameras, only the channel where a motion was detected
first is recorded.
The recording ends when the digital recorder has no longer recognised any motion for
a duration of 10-15 seconds.
Terminate motion detection by pushing the button „REC/STOP" again.
Automatic/time-controlled recording
In the function „Recording Mode" (see chapter 11 d), the setting „Schedule" must be
chosen.
This operating mode only permits recording of videos, but no photographs.
The digital recorder starts and terminates the recording automatically, depending on the
set times. Premature termination of the recording is possible with „REC/STOP".
