If the cameras used have a western plug that belongs to the system, they can
be directly connected to the AV inputs of the digital recorder. The two enclosed
camera connection cables are not required.
If, however, you want to use conventional cameras with BNC-connections at
the digital recorder, first plug the two enclosed camera connection cables into
the AV inputs of the digital recorder so that the western plugs will securely latch
in the digital recorder sockets.
Then connect the BNC video connection of your camera to the yellow BNC
plug of the connection cable.
If your camera has an audio output (e.g. of a microphone), connect the audio
output to the white cinch socket of the camera connection cable.
The round plug at the camera connection cable serves voltage/current supply
of the camera.
Important!
A voltage of 12 V/DC is pending at the round plug. The outer contact of the round
plug is the minus pole (-), the inner contact is the plus pole (+).
An output current of up to 500 mA is available. This is enough for most commercial
surveillance cameras.
First read the operating instructions for your cameras or check their rating
plate for whether the polarity of the round plug and the voltage match your
camera.
Otherwise, there is a danger of damage to the cameras and the digital recorder,
loss of warranty/guarantee!
In doubt, use the voltage/current supply that is enclosed with your cameras
instead of the round plug of the connection cable.
• Connect the low-voltage round plug the two enclosed plug-in mains adapter to the
corresponding socket (6) of the digital recorder. Plug the plug-in mains adapter into a
proper mains socket of the public mains.
• Switch on the digital recorder via the slider (5) („ON" = activated, „OFF" = deactivated).
The LED (2) should now be lit in blue; the connected screen should show the image of
the camera connected to channel 1.
