Defects



Stuck pump
If a pump is stuck and switched on several times repeatedly, the motor
can be damaged. Observe the following points:




In case of defects, immediately switch the system off first and then
remove it from operation.
Have all defects repaired immediately.
Do not switch the pump on repeatedly.
Turn the motor shaft.
Clean the pump.
Possible cause

Pipes which are too long
increase resistance
Excessive ambient
temperature (e.g. at
unventilated installation
area)
Pieces of dirt in the
suction line can block
the pump

Solution

Do not allow the pump
to run dry

Purge air from pump
and suction line prior
to start-up

Avoid pipes which are
too long

Do not exceed the
permitted ambient
temperature

Do not operate the
pump without strainer
basket

Check how easily
pump rotates before
starting it up or after
longer idle periods

Empty filter system
and pipes before
temperatures drop
below freezing
