Fitting the blade

1.
Fit a blade with a diameter of 7 ¼ inches
(185 mm) and a centre hole diameter of
5/8 of an inch (16 mm) with arrow for the
direction of rotation pointing in the same
direction as the arrow on the top blade
guard.
2.
Put the flange (6) on the spindle and
press it against the blade. Screw the
spindle screw (4) anticlockwise into the
flange (fig. 13).
IMPORTANT:
Align the flat surfaces of the flange to the flat
surfaces on the spindle. The flange is fitted
with the flat side turned towards the blade.
3.
Put the blade key on the spindle screw.
4.
Keep the spindle lock button (5) firmly
pressed in and turn the blade key and
blade anticlockwise. The spindle lock
activates when the screw key starts to
move. Keep the spindle lock button
70
pressed in and tighten the spindle screw
anticlockwise with the blade key (fig. 12).
5.
Move back the cover plate (3) to the
original position so that the slot in the
cover plate engages with the cover plate
screw (2). Hold the bottom blade guard
and tighten the screw with a Phillips
screwdriver (fig. 11).
NOTE:
The bottom blade guard must be lifted to the
upright position to uncover the cover plate
screw.
6.
Move down the blade guard (1) and check
that it moves freely, without jamming or
fastening (fig. 11).
7.
Check before starting that the spindle lock
has released and that the blade rotates
freely.
WARNING!
Never use the product without a
correctly fitted cover plate – risk of
serious personal injury. It prevents the
spindle screw from dropping out if it
should come loose, and therefore
prevents the blade from being ejected
from the product.
Check that the flanges are clean and
correctly fitted. Move the blade down
into the slot in the saw table and check
that it does not touch the metal base or
the saw table.
Switch off the product and remove the

Do not use the tool to cut metal or
stone. The product is only intended for
