REPLACING THE CARBON BRUSHES
The carbon brushed must be replaced by
an authorised service centre when there is
excessive sparking between the carbon brushes
commutator.
REPLACING BITS / ACCESSORIES
IMPORTANT:
•
Check before use that the bottom guard
moves smoothly and correctly to the
blade – risk of serious personal injury if
the guard does not work properly.
•
The spindle screw has left-hand thread
and screws out clockwise.
NOTE:
Replacement blade sold separately.
1.
Switch off the product, pull out the plug
and wait until all moving parts have
completely stopped before replacing or
adjusting the saw blade.
2.
Lock the locking screw for the spindle
cover plate so that plate can be lifted up.
3.
Move the bottom blade guard out of the
way and keep it there.
4.
Swing up the spindle cover plate so that
the spindle screw is accessible.
5.
Put the blade key pins in both holes in the
outer flange. Hold the outer flange still
with the blade key and loosen the spindle
screw clockwise with the supplied hex key.
6.
Remove the spindle screw and the outer
flange.
7.
Remove the old blade. Fit the new blade.
8.
Check that the arrow on the blade points
in the same direction as the arrow on the
top guard.
9.
Replace the outer flange and the spindle
screw. Put the flange with domed side to
the blade. Hold the outer flange still with
the blade key and tighten the spindle screw
anticlockwise with the supplied hex key.

10. Turn back the spindle cover plate and lock
it with the locking screw.
11. Move back the bottom blade guard.
