side of the motor (1). Be careful – the cover
is spring-loaded. Take out one of the carbon
brushes and insert a new one. Repeat on the
other side. Fit by following the instructions in
the reverse order. Press the metal part of the
carbon brush into the hole. Replace the carbon
brush cover. Do not overtighten.
NOTE:
If you replace the existing carbon brushes
they must be placed in the same direction
as before. Otherwise a running-in period
is required with lower motor output and
greater carbon brush wear.
SAWDUST
Sawdust and dust on the saw table and base
can make it difficult to turn the saw table. Blow
clean or vacuum at regular intervals.
WARNING!
Wear safety glasses when cleaning with
compressed air.

LUBRICATION

Lubricate with oil all round.
All the bearings in the product are permanently
lubricated. No further lubrication is normally
necessary.
Lubricate the following when
necessary
Pivot pin on the saw arm
Lubricate with thin machine oil.
Pivot pin for blade guard
Lubricate med thin oil (e.g. sewing
machine oil) at points with contact metal
to metal or metal to plastic to ensure
smooth and quiet operation. Do not apply
too much oil, this will cause sawdust to
stick.
DUST BAG
To empty the dust bag, press the metal
arms together and pull the dust bag off
the outlet. Open the zip underneath the
dust bag and empty it in a suitable
container.
Check and empty the dust bag at regular
intervals.
