LEVIGABORDI – EDGE SANDER – PONCEAUSE -
STARTING AND STOPPING THE MACHINE
To start the machine proceed as follows:
1. Get to know the machine and read all instructions regarding potential dangers,
warnings and precautions. Make sure that all users have read this handbook.
2. Make sure the handle is vertical with respect to the motor base.
3. Tilt the motor base using the wheels as the pivot (fig. 7).
4. Fit the drive disk complete with sanding disk to the special fitting on the reduction gear
(fig. 7)
Warning: Only use the sanding disks indicated in this handbook.
1. Restore the machine to the vertical position with the drive disk resting on the surface to
sand
2. Locate the electric power supply. The plug must be compatible with the outlet. For
safety reasons, the outlet must be earthed and protected with a fuse (20A).
3. Put the plug into the outlet.
4. Keep the cable out of the machine's path.
STARTING:
1. Raise the release lever using both hands (10 – fig. 6), rotate the handle outwards and
then release the lever.
2. Continue to rotate the handle until it snaps into the first intermediate position.
3. If the position of the handle is too high for the operator, repeat the previous operation
until the handle automatically snaps into the second working position.
4. Keep a firm hold on the hand grips and press the OK button on the top of the handle
(12 – fig. 6).
5. Keep the OK button pressed.
6. Start the machine by pressing the power controls (11 – fig. 6) on either the right or left
hand grip.
7. Release the OK button.
STOPPING:
1. Release the power controls (11 - fig. 6)
2. Return the handle to the vertical position, lifting the release lever with both hands (10 -
fig. 6)
Important: If the motor is difficult to start in cold weather, remove the drive disk, then start
the motor load-free and let it run for a few minutes. Replace the drive disk and
repeat the starting procedure described above.
BRUSHLESS MOTOR: Before switching on the machine, set the operating speed by using the

This machine is fitted with safety protection. In case of power failure during use,
the circuit breaker automatically cuts out to prevent accidental restart when
power is restored. In order to continue working, repeat the starting procedure
described above.
SANDING DRIVE DISK CENTRING PROCEDURE
The drive disk centres and blocks itself automatically when you start the motor.
