DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY
Model No.
5870202003XX
"XX" may be blank or any combination of alphanumerics to
denote variations in configuration or included accessories.
Motor Overload Protection Note
The drive electronics provide motor overload protection by preventing motor current from exceeding the maximum Service Factor Amps (SFA).
Motor overtemperature sensing is not provided by the drive.
Branch Circuit Protection
Integral solid-state short circuit protection does not provide branch circuit protection. Branch circuit protection must be provided in
accordance with the National Electrical Code and any additional local codes or the equivalent. Drive shall be protected by inverse-time
fuse or circuit breaker only, rated 300 V maximum, and per the full-load motor output current rating as noted in the "Fuse/Circuit Breaker
and Wire Sizing" section on page 15.
CAUTION: Nonmetallic enclosure does not provide grounding between conduit connections. When using metal conduit, install Listed
grounding bushings and Listed No. 10 AWG minimum wires per national and local codes.
CAUTION: When installing rigid metallic conduit, connect conduit to hub BEFORE hub is connected to drive enclosure.
ADDITIONAL FILTERING
The SubDrive Utility UT2W design contains adequate filtering in installations where wiring and spacing recommendations can be followed.
In applications where the recommended wire routing and drive spacing cannot be achieved and/or electrical interference is observed (AM radio,
lighting, etc.), additional filtering may be required. Franklin Electric input/output filter kit 226115910 is designed to work specifically with the
SubDrive Utility UT2W and may be helpful in these installations. Refer to the "Accessories" section on page 26 for ordering information.
