Possible Cause
• No supply voltage present
• Pressure sensor circuit
• Power surge
• Bad component
• Internal fault
Rapid
• Fault detected
1–7
• Loose switch or cable connection
• Gulping water at pump inlet
• Pressure sensor placement and setting
• Pressure gauge placement
• Pressure tank size and pre-charge
• Leak in system
• Air in pump intake
(lack of submergence)
Corrective Action
• If correct voltage is present, replace drive
• Verify water pressure is below system set point
• Power system down to clear the fault and verify input voltage;
if repetitive, replace drive
• Proceed to fault code description and remedy
• If frequency max with low amps: check for closed valve or stuck check valve
• If frequency max with high amps: check for hole in pipe
• If frequency max with erratic amps: check pump operation, dragging impellers
• This is not a drive problem; check all connections
- Disconnect power, allow well to recover for a short time, then retry
• Correct pressure sensor placement and setting as necessary
• Verify tank size is adequate for system flow
• This is not a drive problem
• Disconnect power and check pressure gauge for pressure drop
- Set pump deeper in the well; install a flow sleeve with airtight seal
around drop pipe and cable
- If fluctuation is only on branches before sensor, enable Steady Flow
feature (see page 23)
