COOKING METHODS
Baking
For baking, it is usually easier to achieve your desired temperature by keeping the lower
vent fully open and only adjusting the top damper vent.
• Install the trivet before lighting.
• When the charcoal is lit, place the heat protector on the coaster. Mount the grill in
its place.
• Close the hood and preheat for 10 minutes.
• Make sure that the lower ventilation opening is fully open. Open the top vent and
monitor the temperature until your desired temperature is reached.
• Close the top vent halfway, wait 5 minutes and check the temperature.
• Adjust the temperature by closing the top vent (lower temperature) or opening it
(higher temperature).
• Once the desired temperature is reached, place your baking tray on the grill. You
can also bake on the warming rack. Close the hood to start baking.
• Monitor the temperature during cooking. If you notice that the temperature is
outside your desired range, adjust the upper ventilation opening in small increments
and wait 1-2 minutes.
