3.5. Potential malfunctions and methods of rectification
In case of any malfunction it is necessary to call a mechanic to shoot the trouble. The potential malfunctions and
the methods of rectification are listed in Table 3.
Table 3 - LIST OF POTENTIAL MALFUNCTIONS
and methods of rectification in operation
Malfunction, appearance and
extra signs
1. Refrigerator is not
operational, "mains" is not
illuminated.
2. Refrigerator operates for
long time or continuously.
Required temperature is not
maintained stable in cooled
down space (refrigerator).
3. Refrigerator operates in
short cycles. Required
temperature is not maintained
stable in cooled down space
(refrigerator).
3.6. Storage rules
A monoblock unit should be stored in the transportation containers of the manufacturer at an ambient
temperature of minus 35°C minimum and at relative humidity of 60 percent maximum. The storage time should
not exceed 6 months.
3.7. Transportation
A monoblock unit should be transported by any means of transportation except by air.
While transporting, one should:
protect the transportation containers from mechanical damages;
ensure a stable position of the packed product.
NEVER ROLLOVER BOXES!
4. MAINTENANCE
4.1. General
Two types of maintenance are established for the equipment: operational and scheduled.
The operational maintenance includes a developed temperature monitoring, a check of proper operation of
every element of the unit. During operation the refrigerator should be kept clean. Avoid any use of abrasive and
corrosive detergents at sanitary treatment.
The scheduled maintenance should be done against an annual schedule to be developed by the Center
responsible for technical services before the planned year comes. The scheduled maintenance should foresee a
routine set of operations to be done bi-monthly irrespective of the refrigerator serviceability at the time when
the maintenance starts.
Probable cause
No power on terminals of key
switch
Refrigerator is often loaded
with warm food items.
Doors are opened too often.
Evaporator is covered by thick
layer of ice.
Refrigerator is not tight.
Refrigerator is loaded by food
items too dense.
Ambient temperature is too
high.
Air circulation in water
condensor fan is violated due to
limited space between upper
part of refrigerator and ceiling
of premises.

Method of rectification
Check power cable and indicator repair it
if necessary.
Check terminal box of switch, and tighten
terminal screws if necessary.
Avoid to load refrigerator by hot and
warm food items. Decrease turnover of
food items.
Open doors less frequently.
Defrost evaporator by decreasing time
between defrosting operations.
Check door sealing. Improve it if
necessary. Check gaps between panels.
Seal gaps by sealant.
At loading ensure free circulation of air
among shelves loaded by food items.
Refrigerator should be operated at
ambient temperature +40°С and below.
Check access of air in fan. Ensure gap of
60cm between upper part of refrigerator
and ceiling.
