2.4 Pipetting
Identification
Your pipette is supplied with autoclave-resistant stickers in four
diffe r ent colours. These can be attached to the surface above the
finger rest to personalise/help identify your pipette (Fig. 2).
2.5 Safety Notes
•
Use the pipette only with tip(s) attached.
•
Make sure that no liquid enters the pipette.
•
Do not lay the pipette down when a pipette tip is fixed and
contains liquid.
•
Do not set the volume outside the specified range.
•
Do not use any aggressive solvents or acetone to clean the pipette.
•
Do not use cleaning agents in combination with autoclaving or
UV-Treatment.
•
Only use original parts and accessories.
•
Before pipetting aggressive chemicals or organic solvents, check
their compatibility with the pipette and pipette tips.
•
Avoid temperature differences between the pipette and pipette tip
as this could lead to incorrect volume dispensing.
•
Check the dispensing volume of liquids that strongly differ from
the physical properties of water, eg. with different density (see
also section 6 Calibration).

number can be found behind the
tip ejector button
