GENERAL INFORMATION
REGULATIONS FOR HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS: HOSES
Hoses are an important part of modern machines.
Hose features can change during years, due to pressure, vibrations, weather agents, etc...
The reference regulations in force (e.g. Draft DIN 20066) require the hose replacement after six years from their
manufacturing (most hoses have the manufacturing date printed, to determine when they need replacing).
Please comply with these recommendations.
E
DANGER:
N
G
• - - in case of leaks, liquid can penetrate the skin and cause severe injuries; immediately call a doctor aware of
L
this type of accidents: remember that a liquid injected under the skin must be surgically removed.
I
• - - Always drain pressure before operating on the hydraulic system components.
S
• - - Make sure that all the fittings are regularly tightened before sending pressurized oil inside a circuit.
H
• - - Search for possible leaks without touching the inside; e.g., use a piece of cardboard.
• - - Wear suitable protection means to prevent touching liquids with the hands or the body.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS AND COMPONENTS
• -- Hoses must not be manufactured using previously--used components.
• -- Never weld hydraulic lines.
• -- In case of hose damage, replace them immediately.
• -- Do not modify hydraulic accumulators tampering with them, welding them or proceeding similarly.
• -- Before removing the hydraulic accumulators to carry out service operations, fully bleed the liquid pressure
from inside.
• -- Have the hydraulic accumulator service operations carried out only by skilled technicians on these compo-
nents.
