When the adhesive has set hard, glue the rudder snake outer (5) to the underside of
the fin towards the leading edge. Ensure that it ends flush with the fin; it must not foul
the fuselage reinforcement (2), otherwise it will be impossible to install the fin (4) in
the correct position.
The prepared fin can now be trial-fitted in the fuselage; if there is a gap between the
fuselage and the fin, squeeze the top edges of the fuselage together.
The fin can now be glued in place permanently. Caution: do not use activator for
this joint.
Apply cyano to the spruce strip (2) and the inside of the fuselage sides, then slide the
fin briskly into place. Check that it makes contact with the rear end-stop.
Cut a slot about 1 mm wide at each end of the elevator so that it is free to deflect.
Move the elevator up and down repeatedly until the hinge is reasonably free-moving.
