Maintenance and repair instructions
For maintenance and repair work on probes please follow the separate instructions on the
particular package inserts.
10.1
Setting the display contrast
The contrast of the back-lit display depends on the viewing angle and the operating
temperature. In very poor conditions it is possible that there is very little contrast (high
operating temperature, flat viewing angle). In these cases it is possible to adjust the contrast
using a potentiometer on the display board.
CAUTION

Loosen the 4 cover screws and open housing.

Adjust contrast trimmer (display board, P1).

Close housing.

Replacing the mains fuse
Mains fuse location: on the left above the mains terminals on the motherboard.
- Disconnect mains voltage
- Loosen the 4 cover screws and open housing.
- Replace mains fuse (F1, see chapter 5.2.1)
- Close housing
- Re-connect to mains supply.

Replacing a measuring module
1. Disconnect mains voltage
2. Loosen the 4 cover screws and open the housing
3. Loosen fastening screw in the centre of the measuring module
4. Remove measuring module
5. Insert a new measuring module
ATTENTION
6. Replace and tighten the fastening screw for the plug-in module
7. Close the housing
8. Re-connect power supply
9. Perform configuration, parameter assignment and calibration steps

The unit is connected to the mains.
For all other operations, ensure that the unit is disconnected from the mains.
When closing the housing, ensure that the seal is not damaged and that it is sitting exactly
in the seal groove.
When inserting a new module, take care to ensure that all the pins are in the plug-in socket.
Follow the instructions on the use of CMOS components.
