Controller
8.1
General
Each individual measuring module can be assigned a unique control response in the
configuration level. In the fully assembled version it is possible to support up to 3 different
controllers on a single unit.
NOTE
8.2
Signal unit
The signal unit is a so-called "Setpoint controller" which switches exactly at the setpoint (or at
the hysteresis value), opposite to the 2-state controller which operates by clocking.
The control state is directly dependent of the variable being measured. There is thus only a
proportional behaviour.
The second switching point is entered relative to the first.
For each switching point it is possible to enter an hysteresis.
Parameters
Setpoint (W):
Switch difference (X Sd ):
Setpoint difference (LW):
Switch difference (X2Sd):

Switching performance – Signal unit
417101163_Multronic.doc
It is recommended to enter a value unequal 0 (zero) for all adjustable hysteresis values to
reduce the switching frequency of the corresponding control relay.
Setpoint value lies within the measuring range (including
switching point 1)
Switching hysteresis around the setpoint value; the
percentage relates to the setpoint value
Distance between switching point 2 and the setpoint value.
Given in positive and negative values; can also be given as
absolute values
Switching hysteresis of switching point 2; percentage
relates to the absolute value of switching point 2.
The relevant relay is switched on when the actual value
falls below (positive control direction) or exceeds (negative
control direction) the setpoint value.
The relevant relay is switched off when the actual value
exceeds (positive control direction) or falls below (negative
control direction) the setpoint value.
When the switching point interval is
negative (LW), switching point 2
comes to rest at the left of the
setpoint value.
