Sharpening/Replacing the Blade
Wear gloves when handling the
blade.
Improper installation can cause
severe injury.
Before any maintenance or clean-
ing work, turn off the machine, pull
the spark plug connector (
and wait for the blade to come to a
standstill. Danger of injury!
•
Check the blade for wear and dam-
age.
•
Always have a blunt blade resharp-
ened by a specialist workshop, as an
imbalance check can be carried out
there.
•
Always have a specialist workshop
change a damaged or imbalanced
blade. Incorrect installation can result
in serious injury.
1. Erect the device (see "Sto-
rage"). Make sure the lawn
mower is secure!
2. Use firm gloves and keep hold
of the blade (43). Use a span-
ner (width across flats 17) to
turn the blade bolt (44) counter-
clockwise from the motor spind-
le.
3. Reassemble the new blade in
the reverse order. Make sure
that the blade is positioned cor-
rectly and that the bolt is tighte-
ned.
Once you have loosened the blade
bolt (44), the conical spring washer
(45) must be replaced.
Adjusting the Carburettor
The carburettor has been preset in the
factory for optimum performance. If read-
justments are required, have the adjust-
ments made by a specialist workshop.
Storage
To reduce the space required
12)
during storage, reposition the bow-
type handle.
1.
Remove the two star-stud nuts and
screws (22) on the lower handle-
bar (5).

Place the handlebars on the lawn
mower.
Make sure that cables and Bow-
den cables do not get squashed.
3.
Reinstall the lower handlebar with
the star-stud nuts, washers and
screws (22) onto the machine
housing. Make sure that the pin on
the handlebar is seated in the in-

Now you can erect the lawn mower.
For safe positioning of the lawn
mower, select the highest cut
