guide bar routine maintenance
1.
Remove the guide bar from the unit.
2.
From time to time, clean the guide bar slit from the
sawdust. Use a wire or a filling knife for it.
3.
Clean the oil grooves after every day of use.
4.
Remove any roughness on the guide bar sides. Use a
flat file to make the corners true.
5.
Do not reinstall the guide bar if bent or cracked, or if the
rail inner slit is worn considerably.
Notice: The replacement guide bar may be obtained as a
spare part.
Saw chain sharpening
The chain should be kept sharpened!
The cutting job will be faster and safer then. A blunt chain will
cause unnecessary wear of the sprocket wheel, guide bar,
chain and motor. The chain is blunt if it is necessary to force it
against the wood and cutting then results in sawdust and
several larger chips.
Saw Chain Replacement
Replace the chain any time when the cutting elements are too
worn after repeated sharpening or break of the chain is
imminent. Only use the replacement chain mentioned herein.
The sprocket wheel has to be replaced as well when the chain
is being replaced. Proper drive of the chain will be provided
then.
The chain and the sprocket wheel may be obtained as
spares and accessories.
Troubleshooting
Warning: Unplug the pruner before any maintenance. Electrical shock or a contact with the rotating chain might cause
severe injuries or fatal accidents.
