Communication
The upper side of the ECOLITE controller is equipped
with an RS485 interface for communication with other
devices (e.g. with a PC using the BITZER BEST SOFT-
WARE). The BEST interface converter can be connec-
ted to the ECOLITE controller via an adaptor cable. To
connect an external device to the ECOLITE controller
via a plug-in connection, the following components are
required:
Connector housing:
Contacts:
Contact assignment: Pin 1 – RS485-
Protocol:
Type of user:
Address:

Adjustment possibilities:
Note: Adjusting the parameters may lead to a situation
where the communication of the external device with
the controller is no longer possible without performing
further modifications on the external device.

After having changed the parameters listed above, an
interruption of the supply voltage and a restart of the
controller is required in order to activate the new values
for communication of the controller.
The address "1" can be interpreted by the modbus
master used as different binary numbers, depending on
its setting. If necessary, try "0" or "2".
