Training
Using the appliance only requires appropriate instructions by a
professional or reading the Operating Instructions. No special
training necessary.
Transport and storage
If the saw is to stored for more than 30 days, the following
steps need to be taken:
1.
Drain the oil tank.
2.
Remove and clean the chain bar and chain. Clean the
chain bar and chain by soaking to kerosene solvent or
fine soap water.
3.
Dry the chain bar and chain out.
4.
Put the chain to a tank filled with oil. This will prevent
corrosion.
5.
Apply a thin oil layer on the chain bar.
6.
Wipe the outer part of the saw body with a soft cloth
soaked to fine soap water.
7.
Store the chain saw in an elevated and locked place
inaccessible to children.
8.
Store the chain saw in a dry place in a plastic bag or with
a cover on the chain bar.
Assembly (pic. 2+3)
Fitting the handle:
Fit the handle as shown in pic. 3.
Extension installation
For logistical reasons, the appliance is supplied without the
cutting head being fitted. Before operating the appliance,
choose the required extension and fit it as shown in pic. 2.
To change the extension, just disassemble it in the reverse
order.
Cutting head (pic. 1) angle adjustment
Caution! Adjustment to be performed with the
appliance being switched off only!
Both extensions can be locked in 3 various angles, which
enables individual work.
Press the locking screw (pic. 1/11) and put the saw head to the
required working position. Fixate the saw head in the required
position using the locking screw (pic. 1/11).
Handle (pic. 1) calibration
The handle can be turned by 90° clockwise.
Loosen the locking screw (pic. 1/4) and turn the handle to the
required position.
Before using the saw, make sure the locking button (pic. 1/4)
returns to the initial position and the rear handle is tight again.
Telescopic pole (pic. 1) adjustment
Loosen the clamping lever (pic. 1/10) and pull the upper pole
(pic. 1/9) up to a comfortable position.
Now attach the pole by pressing the clamping lever (pic. 1/10).
Safety instructions for the operator (pic. 8)
Do not use the appliance before reading carefully the
Operating Instructions.
Follow all safety instructions given in the Operating
Instructions.
Behave responsibly to other persons.
Walk, do not run when working.
Use the right working clothes at all times.
Never use the appliance at an angle of more than 60°.
The appliance also works the standard way at an angle
of more than 60°C, however, there is an increased risk
of injury as a result of suddenly fallen branches (pic. 8)
Provide good stability, too.
Operation (pic. 1+6+10)
1.
Connect the saw with the extension cable. Plug the
extension cable.
2.
Use both hands to hold the saw. When operating the
appliance (pic. 10), use only the specified points of
gripping. Hold the saw properly. Thumbs and fingers
must embrace all round both the appliance handle and
pole.
3.
Make sure your legs are positioned properly. Distribute
your weight evenly to both legs.
4.
To switch the appliance on, press first the unlocking
button (pic. 1/2) and then the On/Off button (pic. 6). By
this, the appliance will be switched on. The appliance is
switched off by releasing the On/Off button. Make sure
the saw runs at full speed before performing first cut.
CAUTION: To support the saw, use the stop surface
on the cutting head at all times!
After starting the cut, guide the rotating chain to the wood.
Keep the chain saw firmly in hands to prevent any rejection or
slip (lateral movement) of the saw.
5.
Guide the appliance with the chain saw extension with
slight pressure. Do not overload the chain saw.
Otherwise, the engine may get overloaded and burn
down. The saw works better and safer at the specified
speed.
6.
Move away from the cut with the chain saw when still
running at full speed. Switch the chain saw off by
pressing the starter. The chain saw must be stopped to
the full extent before being put away.
CAUTION:
Prevent any backlash. A backlash may cause serious
injuries.
Do not use the appliance on a tree, ladder or any other
unstable equipment and in an unstable position.
Contact a professional to help you if circumstances
require use of bigger appliances.
Chain tension calibration (pic. 4+5+6+7)
CAUTION: Make always sure the chain is tightened
properly. A loose chain increases the risk of backlash. A
loose chain could get out of the guide. It could injure the
operator and damage the chain. A loose chain causes
quick wear of the chain, chain bar and chain wheel.
Pic. 5:

B
Chain loosening
1. Turn the clamping screw clockwise so that
the chain gets tightened. (pic. 4/A)
Notice: The chain must not be too loose. It must
always be possible to pull the chain away by several
millimetres from the chain bar (pic. 6).
2. After the chain is tightened properly, tighten the chain bar
nut (pic. 7/1), if not tightened - the chain bar is moving
and the chain tension is getting released. This increases
the risk of backlash and can even cause damage to the
saw. Notice: The new chain gets expanded. Check the
new chain after first minutes of operation. Let the chain
cool down and then recalibrate the chain tension.
Chain lubrication with oil
Check the oil level after each use of the saw. Make sure there
is always sufficient amount of oil in the storing reservoir.
