4.3- Transmitter radio transmission modes
The ISE transmitter can operate with two different radio
transmission modes :
Intermittent
(selected by cursor No. 6 of transmitter «CONFIG» DIP switch).
The transmitter module of IST transceiver works only on
«continuous transmission» mode. Important: a transmitter
confi gured with «intermittent transmission» mode will not work.
The choice of transmission mode will depend on the application in
which the ISIS product is used.
Intermittent radio transmission :
(cursor No. 6 set to OFF)
The transmitter ISE only transmits provided at least one of
its inputs is active.
This mode is recommended for applications where several
transmitters are associated to a single receiver. In this case,
you must ensure that the ISIS transmitters do not transmit
simultaneously.
Reminder: a transmitter module IST confi gured with
«intermittent transmission» mode will not work.
Continuous radio transmission :
(cursor No. 6 set to ON)
The transmitter ISE or transceiver IST transmits whatever
the state of its inputs.
This mode is recommended for applications where it is
necessary to monitor the availability of the radio link. This
control can be ensured by monitoring the output of the "Radio
quality" RM relay (see description on following pages).
