6 - HOW TO DISASSEMBLE THE MASK
Before disassembling the mask, disconnect the patient circuit from
the CPAP or Bi-level appliance.
*Make a note of the position of the adjusting knob (e) for reference
next time.
Undo the four straps and detach the headgear (l) from the main body (b).
Pull the curved fitting (h) off the main body (b).
Pull the swivel fitting (i) off the curved fitting (h).
Detach the cushion (a) from the main body (b).
Remove the cap (g) from the main body (b).
Detach the forehead rest (d) from the forehead support (c).
7 - CLEANING AND DISINFECTING THE MASK
The mask must be cleaned and/or disinfected each time before use.
N.B. The headgear should be cleaned once a week.
CLEANING THE MASK
First wash your hands thoroughly.
Disassemble all the components (see 6 - HOW TO DISASSEMBLE
THE MASK) and wash carefully in water at about 30°C using mild soap.
Rinse thoroughly with water and leave in the air to dry.
The mask can be cleaned in a washing machine at 30°C (programme
for delicate fabrics) but must not be spin- or tumble-dried. The mask
can be washed in this way up to 20 times.
DISINFECTING THE MASK
The mask must be taken apart for disinfection (see 6 HOW TO
DISASSEMBLE THE MASK). Immerse the components in a cold
solution of disinfectant (e.g. a solution containing up to 2% sodium
hypochlorite), following the manufacturer's instructions.
IMPORTANT.
Check that the disinfectant solution is compatible
with the materials of which the mask is made (see 12 DISPOSAL
INSTRUCTIONS).
N.B. The headgear (l) must not be disinfected.

8 - PRECAUTIONS
Do not clean the mask with solutions containing alcohol, aromatic
compounds, humidifiers, antibacterial agents or aromatic oils. Such
solutions would damage the product and reduce its life.
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat may cause damage to
the mask.
If any visible damage is noted (cracks, tears, etc.), the damaged part
must be replaced.
Check carefully to make sure there are no soap deposits or foreign
bodies inside the mask.
Check regularly that the vents are not obstructed. Clean with a soft
brush if necessary.
9 - HOW TO REASSEMBLE THE MASK
Insert the curved fitting (h) in the main body (b), pressing gently.
Remount the forehead rest (d) on the forehead support (c)
Insert the swivel fitting (i) in the curved fitting (h), pressing gently.
Fit the grooved side of the cushion (a) in the frame of the main body
(b). Insert the top, then the sides of the mask, pressing the cushion
until the whole edge fits snugly in the main body.
Fit on the cap (g).
Attach the four straps of the headgear (l) to the main body (b).
*Turn the adjusting knob (e) to the reference position you noted
previously.
10 - PRESSURE/OXYGEN PORT
If additional oxygen or a pressure reading is required, use the port in
the main body (b).
Open the cap (g) by lifting upwards, without removing it.
Push the pressure/oxygen tube firmly into the port.
