1 - APPLICATION
Respireo N / Primo N is a nasal mask with calibrated vent ports for
use by a single patient.
Respireo N / Primo N is designed for use by patients who have been
prescribed continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) or Bi-level
positive airway pressure (BiPAP) treatment at home or a hospital.
Respireo N / Primo N is suitable for adult patients (>30 kg).
2 - IMPORTANT NOTES
2.1 The mask must only be used with CPAP or Bi-level flow
generators recommended by a doctor or respiratory therapist.
2.2 The operating pressure range is 4-40 cmH
2.3 The mask must only be used with the appliance on and
operating at a pressure of at least 4 cmH
using a CPAP appliance, the flow through the vent ports may be
insufficient to eliminate all the gas exhaled from the tube, which
could lead to partial re-inhalation.
2.4 The vents in the mask must never be obstructed.
2.5 If you experience discomfort or irritation, or suffer an allergic
reaction to any of the components of the mask, please report
this to your doctor or respiratory therapist.
2.6 If oxygen is used, the supply must be turned off when the
appliance is not in operation, to prevent oxygen accumulating
inside, which is a fire risk.
2.7 Do not smoke or light naked flames when using oxygen.
2.8 Do not use the mask in the presence of nausea or vomiting.
2.9 The mask must be cleaned and/or disinfected. For further details
refer to the section entitled "Cleaning and disinfecting the mask".
2.10 Check the mask before use. If there is any visible damage, report
it to the dealer.
2.11 The mask must only be used in accordance with these
instructions. No other instructions are applicable.
2.12 Some of the components of the mask are small enough to be
swallowed by children and must never be left unattended. An
adult must always be present.

4 - HOW TO PUT ON THE MASK (Fig. B)
The mask comes fully assembled ready for use. Proceed as follows
to put on the mask.
*Turn the adjusting knob (e) until the forehead support is fully
extended (Fig. 1).
Hold the mask firmly in one hand and extend the headgear (l) with the

Place the mask gently on your face so that the cushion (a) fits snugly

round the nose and position the headgear (l) on your head (Fig. 3).

Connect the two lower ends of the headgear (l) to the main body (b)
(Fig. 4).
Tighten the upper straps first, then the lower straps, until the mask fits
on your face comfortably, without overtightening (Fig. 5).
Connect the mask to a CPAP or a Bi-level appliance at the prescribed
pressure (Fig. 6)
*After lying down, turn the adjusting knob (e) until the mask feels
comfortable but still provides a good seal (Fig. 7).
Readjust the lower straps if necessary to eliminate any leaks, but
make sure the mask is not too tight.
5 - HOW TO REMOVE THE MASK
Release one of the lower straps. Remove the mask from your face
and lift the headgear over your head. The other straps do not need to
be loosened or disconnected.
