The PARI O-PEP (Oscillating Positive Expiratory Pressure) is a

respiratory therapy device designed for temporary application to

mobilise secretion in the lower respiratory tract, strengthen the

respiratory tract and alleviate shortness of breath.

The PARI O-PEP can be used:

– by children aged from 5 to 8 under the supervision and direc-

tion of a competent person

– by children aged 8 and older and adults after informed instruc-

tion

The patient exhales repeatedly into the device against a mova-

ble ball, causing a vibration that is transmitted to the lungs. This

causes the deeper respiratory tract to open. In this way, the

lungs are exercised and secretion mobilised.

Replace the PARI O-PEP after a year at the latest as changes

can occur in the material of the PARI O-PEP over time. This

might impair the effectiveness of the treatment.
