Definition of the Symbols

In the following operation manual, we
give concrete safety information to make
the user aware of the unavoidable
residual risk when operating the machine.
These residual risks include danger for:
• Persons
• Product and machine
• Environment
The main purpose of the symbols used in
this operation manual is to draw attention
to the safety precautions!
This is not a safety precaution
symbol, it is applied for
highlighting paragraphs
containing special information,
work cycles, methods and the
utilisation of aids etc..
This symbol is always used,
where operations deviating
from the description and not
carried out in a workmanlike
fashion could cause danger to
the machine, material or
environment.
This symbol is always used,
when carelessness could lead
to personal damage or injury.
The most important aim of the safety
precautions is avoid personal damage.
The symbol alone cannot replace the text
of the safety precautions. Always make
sure to read the complete text also!

The Operator's Duty of Care

The machine was designed and build
according to the results of an
endangering analysis and under
consideration of the valid harmonising
standards.
In order to translate the machine safety
into practice, the operator must assure
that
• the machine is used according to
instructions only
• the machine is operated in flawless,
well-functioning condition only,
particularly the safety devices must be
checked beforehand.
• the required personal protection outfits
(close-fitting clothing, protection shoes)
for the operating, maintaining and
servicing staff is available and worn by
them.
• the operation manual is available to
everyone working with the machine.
• any type of work is carried out by staff
qualified for the task; they know the
basic regulations of work safety and
accident prevention and the operation
manual, particularly the paragraphs
concerning safety precautions.
• all safety facilities are in working order
and the safety and warning signs are
clearly legible.
1.5 Operation According to
Regulations
The Parflange machine 1050 is designed
for reshaping tube ends (producing flares
and flanges) under conditions described
in this manual; it is prohibited to use the
machine for other purposes.
