10.7 Sight glasses

Also mind when mounting or replacing:
▶ Tighten sight glasses only with calibrated torque
spanner to indicated torque.
▶ Do not use a pneumatic impact wrench.
▶ Tighten flanges of sight glasses in several steps to
indicated torque.
▶ Check sight glass visually in detail before and after
mounting.
▶ Test changed component for tightness.

10.8 Special screwed connections inside the
compressor
Assess the risk of conversion and take appropriate
measures before any intervention into the compressor.
Before re-commissioning: Test the compressor de-
pending on the risk assessed for pressure strength and
tightness or for tightness only.

10.8.1 Pressure relief valve

This valve vents from the pressure side (HP) to the
suction side (LP) inside the compressor if the HP pres-
sure exceeds the maximum allowable pressure.
10.8.2 Fixings in terminal boxes and module
housings
Fixing of protection devices and CM modules
▶ Tighten the screws with 1.3 Nm at maximum.
Fixing of the earth terminal strip

terminal strip, washer, internal hexalobular screw.
