Evacuation alarm

To initiate an evacuation alarm:
Depending on the device
configuration, an evacuation
alarm can be triggered and
stopped with the following
functions:
Sending an SMS to the

phone number of
external module if
module supports
function.
Sending a Modbus

message
The optical and acoustic alarm
signals are the same as with a
concentration main alarm A2.

Pump operation (X-zone 5800 only)

The X-zone 5800 is equipped with a pump.
8.1 Commissioning and performing the
measurement
WARNING
!
If the device with pump is used in hazardous areas,
which specifies devices acc. to "Equipment Protection
Level" (EPL) Ga, (for example, corresponds to 1G
Zone 0), only the Viton hose (order no. 12 03 150) with
a max. length of 30 m may be used.
CAUTION
!
Pump operation only with filter (order no. 83 19 364)!
Otherwise the pump may be damaged.
If no filter is used during pump operation, the warranty
on the pump becomes invalid.
After attaching the holder (pump), a functional test
(see Chapter 3.4 on Page 43) must be conducted
following a successfully completed pump test.
1. Switch on the X-zone (see "Switching on the instrument"
on Page 41) and use the holder (pump).
If the device is in the ON mode, the pump will be
automatically switched on via a switching contact on the
holder (pump).

2. Connect the
hose to the water trap of
the hose set (order no.
83 21 527) and screw the
connecting
clockwise onto the filter.
3. A pump test must then be
performed. The pump test
will start automatically.
NOTICE

The pump test must be performed within 60 seconds,
otherwise a device alarm is issued.

Pump test

NOTICE

Dräger recommends inspection of the seals for
damage before attaching the holder (pump). If
damaged, the holder (pump) must be replaced.
The pump test is performed in the same way as for the
Dräger pump X-am 1/2/5000. During the pump test, the
default setting acoustic alarm is automatically reduced
to 80 dB (A).
