Maintenance
Regular inspection and maintenance support the trouble
free, safe operation of the device and help to increase the
service life.
In commercial applications, regular inspections are usually
prescribed by law.
When using the device in the private sector, we recom
mend to have a qualified electrician check the device for
proper condition at regular intervals.
This allows early detection of possible error sources and
prevents hazards.
Defects found need to be eliminated immediately. Do not
use a defective or damaged device as this could increase
the risk of electric shock and damage to property.

Simple maintenance tasks (e.g. visual inspection
for damage) can be carried out by laypersons.
However, if you are unsure regarding the execu
tion of these works, have a qualified electrician
perform the maintenance works.
What kind of defects can occur?
Defective enclosure (e.g. major deformations, cracks,
breaks).
Defective or missing components (e.g. sockets, hinged
covers, protective elements, inspection window).
Defective seals (e.g. on plugs, sockets, inspection win
dow).
Defective cables (e.g. kinks, cuts, pinched points).
Plugs and sockets with heavily soiled contact parts or
with burn marks at the contact parts (e.g. welding splat
ter).
Illegible or missing signs
(e.g. type plate).
