i) Never saw multiple workpieces
that have been stacked on top
of each other or in a row. The
saw blade could catch one or
several parts and cause a kick-
back.
j) If you want to restart a saw
with a blade stuck in a work
piece, centre the saw blade
in the sawing gap and make
sure that the saw teeth are not
caught in the workpiece. If the
saw blade jams, it can lift the
workpiece and cause a kickback
when the saw is restarted.
k) Keep saw blades clean, sharp
and set correctly. Never use
contorted saw blades or saw
blades with cracked or broken
teeth. Sharp and correctly set
saw blades minimise jamming,
blocking and kickback.
4) Safety information for operat
ing circular bench saws
a) Switch the circular bench saw
off and disconnect it from the
power before removing the
bench insert, changing the saw
blade, adjusting the splitting
wedge or protective cover, and
when the machine is left unsu
pervised. Precautionary meas-
ures help to prevent accidents.
b) Never leave the circular bench
saw to run unsupervised.
Switch the power tool off and
do not leave it until it has come
to a complete stop. An unsu-
pervised running saw represents
an uncontrolled danger.
c) Install the circular bench saw

well lit, and where you can
stand safely and keep the bal
ance. The installation site must
provide enough room to han
dle the size of your workpiec
es properly. Mess, unlit working
areas and uneven, slippery floors
can lead to accidents.
d) Remove shavings and sawdust
under the saw bench and/or
the dust extraction system reg
ularly. Accumulated sawdust is
flammable and can ignite.
e) Secure the circular bench saw.
A circular bench saw, which has
not been secured properly, may
move or overturn.
f) Remove adjustment tools, left
over wood etc. from the circu
lar bench saw before switching
it on. Deflection or possible jams
may be dangerous.
g) Always use saw blades in the
right size, and with the right
location hole (e.g. diamond or
round). Saw blades, which do
not fit the mounting parts of the
saw, do not rotate properly, and
lead to loss of control.
h) Never use damaged or incor
rect saw blade mounting mate
rial, such as flanges, wash
ers, screws or nuts. This saw
blade-mounting material has
been specifically constructed for
your saw, for safe operation and
optimal performance.
i) Never stand on the circular
bench saw, and do not use the
circular bench saw as a step
stool. Serious injuries may occur
if the power tool overturns or if
