The use of cutting-off wheels of any
kind is prohibited. Proper use also
includes adherence to the safety
instructions and the hints for opera-
tion in the operating instructions.
Persons using and servicing the saw
benchmust familiarize themselves
with these instructions and be aware
of any possible hazards. Any chang-
es made to the saw bench will whol-
ly invalidate the manufacturer's liabil-
ity for loss or damage arising from its
use and will result in a lapse of the
guarantee. Even in the case of prop-
er use certain residual risk factors
due to the saw bench design cannot
be completely precluded:
• Contact with the saw blade at those
points where it is not covered.
• Contact with the edge of the
rotating saw blade, resulting in
cut injuries.
• Small saw cuts in particular can
be caught and hurled away by the
saw blade. If necessary, saw with
a larger base which covers the
vent of the bench segment (26).
• Breakage of saw blades.
• Flying off of defective hard-metal
parts of the saw blade.
• Damage to hearing through failure
to use the necessary ear protec-
tors.
• Harmful emissions of wood dust
through use in confined spaces.
The machine is intended only for
use in the household.

5 – General safety
instructions for handling
power tools
WARNING Read all safety
precautions, instructions, and
pay attention to the figures and
technical data pertaining to this
power tool. Failure to follow the fol-
lowing instructions may cause elec-
tric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Store all safety notes and instruc
tions for future reference.
The term "power tool" in the warn-
ings refers to your mains operated
(corded) power tool or battery-oper-
ated (cordless) power tool.
1) Work space safety
a) Keep your working area clean
and well lit. Cluttered and dark
areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in
an explosive atmosphere, such
as in the presence of flamma
ble liquids, gasses or dust. Pow-
er tools create sparks, which may
ignite dust or vapours.
c) Keep children and bystanders
away when operating a power
tool. Distractions may cause you
to lose control of the power tool.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match
the outlet. The plug may not be
modified in any way. Do not use
an adapter in conjunction with
protectiveearth power tools.
Unmodified plugs and matching
outlets will reduce risk of electric
shock.
