buttons
2. Place the fresh food into the bag. Please use the
original Solis vacuum bags or vacuum foil exclusively
to avoid damage to the appliance and to ensure best
results.

4. Place the open bag end in the vacuum opening.
Caution: The bag end has to be pushed into the
opening until it reaches the end stop (see Fig. 6)!
5. Lock the latching mechanism by pressing the two
bilateral latching buttons

6. Check the settings of the Food and Mode buttons
by looking at the control lights. For Food, you can
choose between "Dry" and "Moist", depending on
whether the food is dry (choose "Dry" setting) or
slightly moist (choose "Moist" setting). For Mode,
you can choose between quick build-up of vacuum
pressure (choose "Normal" setting) or a slower speed
for pressure sensitive foods (choose "Gentle" set-
ting). The standard settings are "Dry" and "Normal".

7. Then, touch the Vac Seal (A) button. Your appliance
now vacuums and automatically seals the bag (see
Fig. 8). The Vac Seal control light lights up during the
evacuation process. Once the sealing process starts,
the Seal light lights up as well. Shortly afterwards,
the Vac Seal control light goes out. Once the sealing
process is completed, the Seal control light goes out
as well.

NOTE: The appliance produces a fairly high vacuum pressure in the bag. Should
this high pressure potentially squeeze fragile foods, watch the vacuum pressure
in the bag during vacuuming and press the Seal (B) button once the desired
vacuum has been reached. The appliance switches off the extraction pump from
vacuuming and begins sealing the bag.
8. Once vacuuming and sealing are completed, meaning no control lights by the
Seal and Vac Seal buttons are alight, press both release buttons
and right side of the appliance simultaneously. The latching mechanism releases
and you can remove the bag (see Fig. 9).
9. Check whether the new seal seam is straight and uncreased (see Fig. 10). Should
this not be the case, repeat the process after cutting off the weld.
Caution: Should you notice that the evacuation pump does not suck any air out of
the bag, touch the Stop button, press both release buttons
the vacuum opening once again. It is important that the bag is inserted straightly
and all the way until it reaches a stop so that it extends into the vacuum chamber.
Then, proceed again as described in steps 5 to 9.
GOO D T O K NOW :
–
In order for the appliance to perform best, it should be left for at least 40 sec-
onds to cool before you inserting the next bag. Wipe away potentially escaped
liquid on the vacuum opening after each use.
–
If you do not keep the appliance's cool down time of at least 40 seconds and
instead try to keep on vacuuming right away, the sealing bar will overheat. This
could permanently damage the thermal protection.
–
Only Solis vacuum bags or foils should be used, please do not use any other
bags in order to achieve optimal results and prevent damage to the appliance.
Defects caused by the use of improper accessories and supplies have to be fixed
at the owner's expense even within the warranty period.
There are Solis vacuum bags in different sizes or vacuum bag film with which you
can set the bag size. Always choose a bag size appropriate for the food. Keep
in mind that the bag should be at least 8 cm larger than the food and you will
need an additional 2 cm for the seal.
For item numbers and descriptions, please refer to the enclosed order form.

Use scissors to open a vacuum sealed bag and take out the food.
–
When you vacuum slightly moist foods, moisture collects in the removable drip
±
tray
, which therefore has to be cleaned regularly. If you slightly push the tray
into the vacuum sealer, it partially snaps out and can be easily removed from
the appliance. Clean the drip tray in warm dishwater, dry it and reinsert it into
the appliance backside.
