The control panel and the touch sensitive function buttons as well as the
connection port for the air extraction hose
For your control, the control light of the Vac Seal, Seal and Canister buttons lights
up depending on the function you have activated by touching the corresponding
button. Once a function is completed, the corresponding control light goes out.
The corresponding settings above the Mode ("Normal" or "Gentle") and Food
("Dry" or "Moist") buttons also light up. Once the appliance is connected to the
power, the standard settings "Normal" (above the Mode button) and "Dry" (above
the Food button) light up, indicating that the appliance is in standby mode.
A
Vac Seal
This button first starts the vacuuming process and then seals automatically. Dur-
ing the evacuation process, only the Vac Seal control light lights up, as soon as
the sealing process starts, the Seal light lights up as well. Once both processes
are completed, both lights go out subsequently.
Note: A pause of at least 40 seconds should be kept between two sealing
processes.
B
Seal
This button fulfils two purposes:
1. For manual sealing of foil bags, e.g. if you want to make a bag from a roll and
therefore need to seal one end of the bag.
2. For stopping the vacuuming process in the Vac Seal function and immediately
sealing the bag. As an example: If you have selected the Vac Seal function and
notice the pressure getting too high for the foods in the bag while the appliance
is automatically vacuuming, you can immediately shut down the evacuation
pump and start the sealing process by simply touching the Seal button.
As long as the appliance is sealing, the Seal control light lights up. The control
light goes out once the process is completed.
Note: A pause of at least 40 seconds should be kept between two sealing
processes.
C
Stop
If you touch this button during use, the current vacuuming resp. sealing process
is stopped immediately.

to "Moist" and vice versa. The corresponding function light next to "Moist" or
"Dry" lights up.

power socket. You should choose this setting if the food in the vacuum bag is dry.
"Moist": You should choose this setting if the food in the vacuum bag is
slightly wet.
E
Mode
By touching the Mode button, you can switch from the standard "Normal"
setting to "Gentle" and vice versa. The corresponding function light next to
"Gentle" or "Normal" lights up.
"Normal": Standard setting, lights up when you connect the power plug to the
power socket. You should choose this setting if the food in the vacuum bag is
normally robust and able to withstand the normal vacuum pressure without
being damaged.
"Gentle": You should choose this setting if the food in the vacuum bag is
pressure sensitive and requires the vacuum pressure to be built up more slowly.
F
Canister
With this button, you can evacuate Solis containers with a lid. When you con-
nect the Solis containers with the connection port via the air extraction hose
and touch the Canister button, the air is sucked out of the containers and a
vacuum is produced.
Caution: Please use only the original Solis containers and the original air extrac-
tion hose (included with the appliance resp. to be found in the scope of delivery
of the Solis containers).
G
Connection port for the air extraction hose
To evacuate Solis containers, one end of the air extraction hose has to be
connected to this port while the other end is connected to the lid of the Solis
container.
