Ironing
CAUTION!
■
Even if the device has an automatic safety switch-off function, the mains plug must be
pulled out of the plug socket after ironing or during lengthy breaks to prevent personal
injury or damage to property.
■
Never aim steam directly at people, animals or plants. This could cause severe scald-
ing.
■
The connected mains cable must not present a trip hazard.
■
Always test the device fi rst on a small, inconspicuous spot on the fabric.
■
Do not iron on one spot for too long and do not leave the hot bottom of the iron stand-
ing on the fabric or another heat-sensitive surface! This may cause a fi re.
■
Do not iron delicate fi bres with steam to prevent any damage!
■
Do not iron over zips, studs, clips, sequins etc. to prevent any damage to the coating
on the bottom of the iron.
1. Move the steam switch (5) to position
trol (12) to the MIN position. To do this, turn MIN to the positional mark (14).
2. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible.
The operating lamp (10) is lit up permanently.
3. Place the iron upright on the ironing board or on a stable, fl at, heat-resistant and
moisture-resistant surface.
4. Check the label in the garment for the required ironing temperature (see the "Ironing
Recommendations" chapter) and set this temperature using the temperature con-
trol (12) (turn the temperature setting you want to the positional mark (14)). The heat
control lamp (11) lights up.
5. Once the device has reached the set temperature, the heat control lamp (11) goes
out. The iron is ready for use.
6. For steam-ironing, move the steam switch (5) to position

As the device reheats during use, the heat control lamp (11) repeatedly switches
on and off again.
8. When the water reservoir (13) is empty, steam will no longer be produced. Follow the
instructions in the "Filling the Water Reservoir" section to top it up.
