CAUTION: hot surfaces! The bottom of the
iron gets very hot during use. You should
therefore only hold the device by the handle
when you are operating it. Do not touch the
bottom of the iron during or shortly after use.
Allow the device to cool down completely before

the water reservoir is emptied and / or the de-
vice is cleaned and stored away.
The device must always be disconnected from
■
the mains power when it is left unattended, be-
fore water is poured into the water reservoir or it
is emptied, and before cleaning.
Risk of burns or scalding
■
Never attempt to iron clothes while somebody is wearing them.
■
Never aim steam directly at people, animals or plants.
■
Do not turn the hot device upside down or place it on its side. Hot water could escape.
■
Open the water reservoir cap only to fi ll the water reservoir. Keep the cap closed
while operating the iron.
■
Allow the device to cool down before the water reservoir is topped up again. Other-
wise there could be a sudden emission of steam.
Risk of electric shock
■
The device should only be connected to a properly installed socket with safety con-
tacts. The socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connec-
tion to the mains can quickly be isolated. The mains voltage must match the technical
data of the device.
■
Do not connect the device along with other consumers (with a high wattage) to a mul-
tiple socket in order to prevent overloading and a possible short circuit (fi re).
■
Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
■
The device housing, the mains cable and the mains plug must not become wet. Water
must only get into the water reservoir.
